Homecoming

Every fall, brothers come back to ESU for golf, the tailgate and the Warriors game. Homecoming 2027 dates will post here as soon as ESU sets them.

The usual weekend

How Homecoming runs

Thursday night to Sunday. Times shift a little each year, mostly around Saturday's kickoff, so check Events for this year's details.

Thursday

An early crew rolls in
  1. EveningTwo ways to start: the casino at Mount Airy, or dinner at Rare & Rye steakhouse. Pick your track.

Friday

Golf, Teddy's and the Pi Lam party
  1. 9:00 amGolf outing, with a quick tailgate in the lot before we tee off.
  2. About 3:00 pmTeddy's, with the other fraternities and sororities.
  3. 5:30 pmThe group picture at Teddy's.
  4. NightThe Pi Lam party at a local venue, with DJ Foges on the music. There's a cover at the door: it pays for the party and sends a donation to the active chapter.

Saturday

The long day
  1. MorningMimosas and a light breakfast at the Hampton Inn, hosted by the ASAs.
  2. Before kickoffThe ESU tailgate, then the Warriors game. Kickoff (12, 1 or 4 pm) sets the timing for the whole day.
  3. After the gameRudy's. They rope off the parking lot, so there's room to catch up with alumni from every era. The active brothers also host a day party with a sorority or another ESU group.
  4. About 5:00 pmBack to Teddy's for drinks and cheesesteaks.
  5. 8:00 pmThe bar crawl down Main Street.

Sunday

Recovery day
  1. All dayMost of us rest up and drive home. A few head to a Giants or Eagles game, depending on the schedule.

Where to stay

  • Hampton Inn is our main hotel, and Saturday breakfast is there.
  • The Stroud and Airbnbs have become popular too.
  • Book early. ESU usually announces Homecoming dates in February, and that's when most of us book. Many brothers reserve a block of refundable rooms, so there's little risk if plans change.
